Tropical Smoothie Cafe has made its first-ever Halloween smoothie, and apparently subtlety was not invited.

The new Fanta Phantom Smoothie is bright orange, topped with purple popping boba, and made in collaboration with Coca-Cola. It launches October 7 for a limited time at participating Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in the U.S.

What is in the Fanta Phantom Smoothie?

According to Tropical Smoothie Cafe, the drink blends Fanta Orange-flavored syrup with mango, banana, nonfat yogurt and cinnamon.

Then it gets topped with purple vanilla-flavored popping boba, because if you are going to make a Halloween smoothie, you might as well make it look like a potion somebody should be carrying through a haunted house.

That clear cup is new, too

The chain says this is also the first time it has used a clear smoothie cup. The point is basically to let the orange-and-purple situation do all the talking.

The purple popping boba is not limited to this one drink, either. Tropical Smoothie Cafe says guests can add it to other smoothies while the Halloween promotion is available.

This is Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s first Coca-Cola smoothie collaboration

The Fanta Phantom is both Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s first Halloween menu item and its first smoothie collaboration with Coca-Cola.

It joins a growing list of Halloween foods that have decided October is not the time for beige. Krispy Kreme already turned Bugs Bunny into a vampire doughnut this season, and now we have an orange Fanta smoothie with purple boba. Honestly, this is the level of commitment I expect from spooky food.

Availability can vary by location and the drink is limited-time, so check your local cafe before making a special trip.
