What You Need To Make Easy Ginger Snaps:

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • extra sugar for rolling

How To Make Easy Ginger Snaps:

Preheat oven to 350°.

Mix all ingredients.

Roll in sugar.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Enjoy!

Pro Tip: For an even spicier, gingerier (is that a word?) ginger snap, roll the cookies in ginger sugar instead of just regular sugar. Double the ginger, double the fun!
