You can easily land a job making $20 or more per hour. Yes, I’m serious.
There are so many jobs out there that pay right around minimum wage, but there is absolutely no reason that you have to settle for less than your worth!
It just requires you to be a little bit proactive and creative in your job search.
Now, some of these jobs require that you invest a little time.
I’m not talking about years of college.
You may need to earn a certificate or have just a little bit of life experience for certain jobs.
Don’t get me wrong. There are definitely jobs that don’t require any kind of special certificate or training.

1. Freelance Photographer

Of course, this requires you to own a camera, be familiar with how it functions, and have a creative eye for capturing that perfect shot.
You also have to spend a little time building a portfolio and maybe a little bit of a client base.
BUT, if you are willing to put in the work, this just might be the perfect job that you’ve been looking for.
2. Proofreader
Average Salary – $48,500
Being a proofreader requires that you have a bit of knowledge of the written word.
That means you have to have a knack for finding mistakes — either in spelling, context, comma placement, or correct word usage.
Was English your favorite subject in school? Do you obsess over the Oxford Comma and the difference between words like “there,” “their,” and “they’re?” This job might be right up your alley.
3. Website Developer
Average Salary – $61,048
You might be thinking, “Web developers go to school and have degrees.”
There are definitely people out there who have gone to school for website development, but it’s not a requirement for landing a job developing websites.
You just have to have experience — school or life — in coding and computer languages and maybe just a touch of creativity.

There are SO many different avenues that freelance writers can choose to take.
