Well dear reader, Simon and Daphne’s story has come to an end and when one door shuts, another one opens.
If you haven’t carved out time to binge watch the first season of Bridgerton, you may want to stop scrolling as there will be some serious spoilers further down this article.
At the end of season 1, fans were excited to see Daphne and Simon have their first baby boy who will continue the heir in the Duke and Duchess’s family.
However, Daphne isn’t the only Bridgerton that needs to find love.
Next up on the list is her older brother Anthony and good news, Netflix has given up center-stage for Anthony Bridgerton as Netflix has officially announced the renewal of Bridgerton for season 2!
The second season of the romance series will focus on Anthony Bridgerton’s quest to find a wife after his one shot at true love in the first season came spiraling down.
Netflix has confirmed the news to RadioTimes in a written statement from Lady Whistledown herself and you know what they say, Lady Whistledown knows all the gossip.
“The ton are abuzz with the latest gossip, and so it is my honour to impart to you: Bridgerton shall officially return for a second season. I do hope you have stored a bottle of ratafia for this most delightful occasion,” Whistledown wrote.Lady Whistledown
She also wrote,
“This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen to report on any and all of his romantic activities.”Lady Whistledown
Unfortunately Lady Whisteldown has also informed the public that she cannot give out any more details regarding season 2; however, we can report that production of season 2 is set in the spring of 2021!
“However, gentle reader, before you set the comments section alight with requests for more sordid details, know that I am disinclined to report on the particulars at this time. Patience, after all, is a virtue.”Lady Whistledown
Here’s hoping that Anthony Bridgerton has a less slippery slope to find love in season 2.
