2021 is sort of the year of Britney Spears, isn’t it?
It seems like every time I search out entertainment news, Britney is right there at the forefront.
You have surely heard of the Free Britney Movement, which is seeking to free Britney from her conservatorship that is set up with her father as the manager of all things Britney.
We have also had the chance to view several documentaries that claim to be the true story of Britney Spears.
After the release of Framing Britney Spears, which you can check out on Hulu, Britney took to Instagram to set a bit of the story straight.
Each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories !!!! We all have so many different bright beautiful lives ????!!! Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lensBritney Spears on Instagram
As much as we all completely sided with Britney, and demanded apologies from the likes of Justin Timberlake, we still apparently don’t have the whole story.
On Monday, Britney took to Instagram to post a video of herself dancing — it seems to be her preferred type of thing to post on the social media site.
But, along with the video she included a LONG caption — complete with the signature Britney Spears emojis that she includes on every post.
She starts off by saying how flattered she is by all the documentary attention as of late.
2021 is definitely way better than 2020 but I never knew it was gonna be like THIS ??? !!!! So many documentaries about me this year with other people’s takes on my life … what can I say … I’m deeply flattered !!!!Britney Spears on Instagram
She then goes on to set the record straight about her life, saying that it may not have been as bad as these documentaries portrayed it to be.
These documentaries are so hypocritical … they criticize the media and then do the same thing ???????? Damn … I don’t know y’all but I’m thrilled to remind you all that although I’ve had some pretty tough times in my life … I’ve had waaaayyyy more amazing times in my lifeBritney Spears on Instagram
Then Britney talks about the fact that people like to focus on the negative that has happened in her life — she’s not wrong.
and unfortunately my friends … I think the world is more interested in the negative ??♀️??♀️??♀️ !!!! I mean … isn’t this supposed to be a business and society about THE FUTURE ??? ????Britney Spears on Instagram
She goes on to question why everyone has to dwell on her past.
Why highlight the most negative and traumatizing times in my life from forever ago ???? I mean DAMNBritney Spears on Instagram
Well, you heard it straight from our girl — the documentaries may have showcased PART of her life, but they may have missed some of the best parts.
