Candy corn is one of those Halloween things that is somehow both adorable and wildly divisive, which obviously makes it perfect nail art.
What you need
- White nail polish
- Orange nail polish
- Yellow nail polish
- A thin nail-art brush or striping brush if you want crisp edges
- Clear top coat
How to paint candy corn nails
- Start with white. Paint the whole nail white and let it dry completely. This also makes the orange and yellow look brighter.
- Add orange through the middle. Paint a horizontal orange band across the center of the nail.
- Finish with yellow. Add yellow at the base so the finished nail reads white, orange, yellow like a piece of candy corn.
- Clean the edges. Use a small brush dipped in remover if the bands get messy.
- Top coat everything. Let the colors set first so the stripes do not drag together.
The easier version
Do one candy-corn accent nail and keep the rest solid orange, cream or glossy black. Same idea, less tiny painting.
