I still love these little guys. Frankenstein nails are the perfect Halloween manicure when you want something spooky that is much more cute than terrifying.
What you need
- Green polish
- Black polish
- White polish
- A toothpick, dotting tool or tiny detail brush
- Clear top coat
How to paint Frankenstein nails
- Paint the monster green. Cover the nail with one or two coats and let it dry.
- Add messy black hair. Paint a jagged black edge near the cuticle.
- Dot on the eyes. Make two small white dots, then add tiny black pupils when the white is dry.
- Draw the mouth. Use a thin black line, then add little vertical stitch marks across it.
- Add one extra scar if you want. A short black line with two or three cross-stitches is enough.
- Finish with top coat. Let the tiny details dry first.
Make it a mixed monster manicure
You can do Frankenstein on one or two accent nails and pair him with black, purple or slime-green nails. That keeps the original little-monster idea while making the whole manicure feel less costume-y.
