There are Halloween clothes, and then there are the pieces that make you suddenly willing to pretend leggings count as a costume.
Crowned Athletics just revealed a new Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas activewear collection, and it is very specifically for the people who think Jack Skellington season starts the second the calendar even looks at September.
The collection launches September 17 at 7 p.m. ET on Crowned Athletics.
The Jack Skellington pieces are the obvious problem here
Disney’s official reveal shows a whole Jack lineup, including women’s leggings, a sports bra, an athletic skort and a power tank. There is also a unisex collared tee with a subtle Jack detail, which is probably the easiest piece to wear when you want Halloween Town energy without looking like you are actively headed to a costume party.
The sports bra has bat-shaped crossover detailing, while Disney says the skort uses flexible fabric and the power tank has an embroidered icon. Basically: spooky, but make it gym clothes.
And yes, Zero gets accessories. There is a Zero athletic cap, a pet bandana and a hair bow. The fact that your dog can coordinate with your activewear is information I feel obligated to pass along immediately.
Sally gets her own collection too
The Sally side is brighter and more patchwork-heavy, with leggings, sports bras, flow tanks, a skort, a power tank and a mesh shrug with stitched-looking sleeve details.
This is the part I like about the collection: it does not just slap one character face on the front of a black shirt and call it Halloween. The pieces actually pull from the characters’ colors and details, so they still read as Jack or Sally even when the design is a little more subtle.
And then Cruella shows up five days later
Crowned Athletics and Disney are also launching a separate 101 Dalmatians Cruella de Vil collection on September 22.
That one goes all in on black, white and red, with Dalmatian-print details across sports bras, leggings, skorts, tanks and accessories.
There are Cruella hair bows and a pet bandana too, because apparently Crowned Athletics understands that if you are buying Dalmatian-print activewear, there is a decent chance you are willing to involve the dog.
When can you buy the Nightmare Before Christmas collection?
The Nightmare Before Christmas collection is scheduled to launch Thursday, September 17 at 7 p.m. ET at CrownedAthletics.com.
The Cruella collection follows on September 22. Disney’s announcement did not list pricing, so I am not going to invent a number before the collection actually goes live.
