For many, it brought comfort to fans knowing we’d see Cameron star in a show one last time as Descendants 3 was being released but as of today, Disney has cancelled the Descendants 3 Premiere in Honor of Cameron Boyce and is instead using that money to do some good in the world just ask Cameron would have wanted.

Just to be clear, the Descendants 3 movie itself is NOT being cancelled, just the red carpet premiere.
According to TMZ, Disney will make a donation in Cameron’s name to the Thirst Project – a nonprofit that delivers clean water to communities in need around the world. Instead of using this money to throw a red carpet premiere.
In a press release, Disney said:
We are proud to be part of Cameron Boyce’s legacy by showcasing his talents on screen but we are cancelling the red carpet premiere event for ‘Descendants 3’ scheduled for July 22 and instead, The Walt Disney Company will make a donation to the Thirst Project, a philanthropic organization to which Cameron was deeply committed. Thank you for understanding.

This is exactly what Cameron would have wanted according to his family.
Cameron himself raised over $30k for the cause and was outspoken about his passion for the organization.
Such an amazing move for Disney to do something in honor of the young Disney star.
He will certainly be missed!
