Disney Is Making ‘Hercules’ Into A Live-Action Movie And I Am So Excited
Remember Hercules, the film that came out in 1997 and was a box office hit making over 200 million dollars?!
Well, the movie is coming out again in a live-action film, according to Disinsider!
I can remember watching this film as a kid and loving it! Now, I get to see it become a live action re-make and it’s amazing to see the movie evolve over time!
Jeffery Silver (‘The Lion King, Tron: Legacy’) and Karen Gilchrist (‘The Lion King, The Mandalorian’) will be producing the live action film with the original songs remaining in the movie as well! Talk about déjà vu when the movie releases!
It’s rumored that these three directors are in line to direct Hercules live action film, Jon Favreau, successful director of two live-action remakes, ‘The Jungle Book’ and 2019’s ‘The Lion King’.
The Russo Brothers from Marvel and lastly, Gore Verbinski, director of the first three ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ films.
So all in all, the live action remake of Hercules might just have the perfect team to make this movie one of the greatest live action films of all time!
Casting calls and interviews will be done over Zoom due to the virus, although production will not begin until the pandemic is settled. In the meantime, we will have to wait and see with upcoming news!
We can expect this film to be shown in theatres instead of on Disney +!
