Disney+ Just Announced A Live-Action Robin Hood Movie Is Coming
The first Disney animated ‘Robin Hood’ movie came out way back in 1973, the year before I was born. That is soooo long ago. I remember watching it as a kid and even watching it with my own kids.
I totally remember singing along to “Oo De Lally” from the original animated ‘Robin Hood’.
Well, now Disney is in early development on a remake for Disney+! This will be a more modernized version of the classic. Kari Granlund who wrote the live-action version of ‘Lady and the Tramp’ is also writing this script.
Carlos López Estrada is the Director of the new film. You may know him from his work on ‘Blindspotting’.
This Robin Hood remake will be a live-action CGI musical, similar to The Jungle Book and The Lion King. Although from what I have read the characters will be less realistic, and more expressive which would keep it more like the original animated movie.
I think hearing that it will be less realistic makes me more interested in seeing it. I haven’t been much of a fan of the live-action and CGI films so far. But I realize many people do like them.
There isn’t a lot of information available yet, but I’m sure we will hear more about it soon!
