The Disney Wish is getting a New York moment, and this is the kind of vacation announcement that sends me straight to the calendar.
Disney has announced seven Disney Wish voyages from New York in fall 2027, ranging from four to seven nights. The ship is due to arrive in late September after its first European season. So yes, this is next year’s planning material—not a cruise you can take from New York this fall.
Beach time and fall scenery are different choices
According to Disney’s official itinerary announcement, five of the New York sailings visit Bermuda. Three of those extend the Bermuda visit by an extra day.
The New York season also includes New England and Canada’s Atlantic coast. That gives this departure port two very different vacation directions: an island-focused itinerary or a northern coastal trip with a fall-season setting.
I would choose that direction before comparing cabins. If the whole reason you are excited is time in Bermuda, the length of the island stop deserves as much attention as the number of nights on the ship.
Seven departures is a limited season, not a year-round move
Disney says the Wish later returns to Port Canaveral after its New York and San Juan sailings. General bookings for the newly announced itineraries opened September 8, 2026; that announcement does not establish today’s cabin availability or price.
When comparing the actual sailings, I would keep four details beside each other:
- Departure and return dates: Check the calendar against school and work before falling for a cabin photo.
- Time in port: An extra day in the destination you want can matter more than a different room location.
- Total travel time: Include getting to and from the departure city when deciding how many days the trip requires.
- The complete quote: Compare the same travelers and room category, then read the payment and cancellation terms.
There is a difference between “we could leave from New York” and “this is the sailing that works for us.” The second conversation is where I would spend the planning energy.
