Walt Disney World turns 55 on October 1, and Disney just showed off the anniversary merchandise. There is a blue-and-red Mickey Mouse plush, a pair of blue ears, a hoodie, tees, a backpack, tumblers and a mug. The Mickey plush is absolutely doing its job on me.
Disney shared the collection in a September 28 Disney Parks Blog post featuring Frank and Earliene, two cast members who have worked at Walt Disney World since its 1971 opening. They modeled pieces from the collection while sharing their memories of the resort.
What is in the 55th anniversary collection?
Disney’s preview shows a Mickey plush, ears, a hoodie, a zip-up, shirts, a backpack, hat, mug and tumblers. It does not provide a complete price list in the announcement, so check the item in store before assuming a price.
Where can you buy it?
Disney says the 55th Anniversary Merchandise Collection is available now at Emporium and Creations Shop at Walt Disney World, while supplies last. Select items are also coming soon to DisneyStore.com. That means the online assortment and timing may differ from what guests see in the parks.
The anniversary lands October 1, 2026, exactly 55 years after Magic Kingdom opened. If you are already planning a fall trip, this is one more reason to peek into the shops—especially if the plush is calling your name too.
