Earlier today we announced that Disneyland was closing due to Coronavirus and now, Disney World has announced they are doing the same.
The news just broke when a press release was made by the park.
“In an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our guests and employees, we are proceeding with the closure of our theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Paris Resort, beginning at the close of business on Sunday, March 15, through the end of the month,”
You should know that this is sort of a big deal.
The Disney Parks basically never close unless they actually have to and only have during hurricane threats and other situations of the same severity.
The hotels at Walt Disney World will remain open, as well as retail and dining complexes in case you still want to visit a small snippet of the magic.
Sigh – looks like for Spring break all we are getting is the chance to stay home and binge on a new Netflix series.
