If you finished the first Oogie Boogie quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley and the game suddenly went quiet, you are probably not stuck. The next part of the Halloween event is time-gated.
Week 2, “The Oogie Boogie Contract,” becomes available September 30. Gameloft is releasing one Season of Scares quest each week, so there is nothing extra to unlock before the date if you are already caught up.
When does The Oogie Boogie Contract unlock?
Gameloft’s official event schedule lists September 30 for Week 2. The company has not published a separate launch time for the quest, so I would not plan around an unofficial hour. If it is September 30 in your region and the quest has not appeared yet, check your game for the current update and give the event time to roll out before assuming something is broken.
What do you need before Week 2?
The event itself requires Peaceful Meadow, Scrooge McDuck’s Store, and Chez Remy to be unlocked. The first quest begins through the strange mirror in Scrooge’s Store after you receive the event mail.
If you have already completed Week 1, “A Halloween Invasion,” the useful answer is much simpler: wait for the September 30 quest release. Season of Scares is built as a six-week chain rather than one giant questline you can finish in a night.

Oogie Boogie is the final villager reward after the full series. Zero is a permanent companion reward somewhere along the questline, but Gameloft has not said which specific weekly quest awards him.
You do not have to finish every quest the week it releases
This is the part that makes the schedule much less stressful: Gameloft says you only need to begin the first Oogie Boogie quest before November 4. Once you have started the event in time, you can complete the remaining quests at your own pace even after the event window closes.
