Oogie Boogie has entered Disney Dreamlight Valley, and there’s a very good reason to visit Scrooge’s shop before November 4. The September 23 “Season of Scares” update brings a six-week challenge that can add the Pumpkin King’s gambling-loving rival to your Valley permanently. Zero is part of the adventure, too.
How to start Oogie Boogie’s quest
- Make sure you have unlocked Peaceful Meadow, Scrooge McDuck’s Store, and Chez Remy.
- Visit Scrooge’s Store and investigate the strange mirror that has appeared there.
- Follow the Season of Scares questline and its weekly challenges. Gameloft says completing the six weeks of challenges welcomes Oogie Boogie as a permanent Valley resident.
You do not need to finish all six weeks by November 4 if you begin the first quest before that date. Gameloft says you can complete the remaining challenges at your own pace after the event ends. The key deadline is starting the first quest while the event is available.
And how do you get Zero?
Gameloft says Zero unlocks during one of Oogie Boogie’s quests. So begin at the mirror, keep progressing the event questline, and watch for the Zero reward. The official notes do not identify a specific challenge number; we are not going to send you after an invented task.
More Halloween dates for your calendar
The Haunted Floating Festival begins October 7. A separate Trick or Treat event runs October 14–31. Those are future dates as of the September 23 update, so keep them separate from Oogie’s quest, which is already live.
The update itself is free. Platform storefronts and the Apple Arcade edition may differ on Premium Shop and event features, so check your in-game event tab and Gameloft’s official Season of Scares patch notes for the version you play.
