Practical Magic 2 is now available to watch at home in the U.S. The Owens sisters arrived on digital rental and purchase platforms on October 13, 2026. Midnight margaritas can officially be a couch activity again.
There is one detail to know before you settle in: this is a paid rental or purchase. An HBO Max subscription release date has not been announced in the current release coverage.
Where can you watch Practical Magic 2?
Warner Bros.’ home-release announcement lists Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango and other participating digital retailers for the October 13 launch.
You can go directly to the Practical Magic 2 listing on Apple TV or use Movies Anywhere’s retailer links to find a store. A movie being sold through an app does not mean it is included with that app’s subscription.
How much does it cost?
Decider’s digital-release guide reports a U.S. launch price of $19.99 to rent or $24.99 to buy on Amazon. Prices and rental terms can vary by retailer, so check the offer on your own screen before paying.
At those prices, the difference between renting and buying is five dollars. Worth noticing if you already know the Owens women are going into your annual October rotation.
Is Practical Magic 2 on HBO Max?
There is no confirmed HBO Max premiere date in the release information checked as of October 14, 2026. The current watch-at-home option is the separate digital rental or purchase.
If you would rather wait until it is included with a subscription, hold off on paying for a rental. Predictions about a November or December streaming debut are not an announced release date.
Who is back, and what is the sequel about?
Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as Sally and Gillian Owens, with Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing also in the cast. Joey King and Maisie Williams play Sally’s daughters, Kylie and Antonia, according to the Apple TV cast listing.
The official movie site describes a new threat from the family curse. Susanne Bier directs, and the movie is based on Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic. It runs about two hours and ten minutes and is rated PG-13.
