Yes, the swan made the blanket.
Hallmark’s Gilmore Girls Memorable Moments Oversized Throw Blanket is covered in little references to Stars Hollow, from the big yellow Luke’s mug to the bridge where Jess gets a very unwelcome dip.
It’s $54.99, and Hallmark currently lists it in stock for shipping. If your fall plans involve restarting Gilmore Girls, this is a pretty on-theme way to claim your spot on the couch.
The little details are the whole point
Look closely at Hallmark’s photos and you’ll spot the matching red outfits from the Chilton fashion show, Lane’s music tucked beneath a floorboard, and the chuppah Luke built for Lorelai. There’s even a tiny cornstarch box for Rory’s first kiss.
Some illustrations have captions; others leave the recognition to you. That makes the pattern a fun little memory test for someone who knows the show well. The person who recognizes the floorboard probably doesn’t need another explanation of why this belongs in their living room.
It’s big enough to check the measurements first
Hallmark lists the blanket at 80 by 60 inches. That’s 6 feet 8 inches along the longer edge and 5 feet across the shorter one. If you’re buying it to drape over a particular chair, measure first: there’s a lot of print here.
The reverse is blue, as shown in Hallmark’s close-up. For cleaning, Hallmark says to wash it cold with similar colors and tumble-dry on low; skip bleach, ironing and dry cleaning.
At nearly $55, the appeal is the combination of that size and the very specific references. For a smaller piece of Stars Hollow, Hallmark also has the coffee-scented Luke’s Diner mug candle.
