Hello Kitty Bento Lunch
You know what was really annoying when I was a kid? Sandwiches. Sandwiches, every single day for lunch, unless it was one of those rare occasions that I managed to convince my parents to give me money for Friday Pizza Day. If you want your kids to grow up without a lingering resentment for anything that’s served between two slices of Wonder Bread, you’ve got to change it up once in a while. And if you’ve got Hello Kitty fanatics in your family, then you need to give this Hello Kitty Bento Lunch a shot!
What You’ll Need to Make Hello Kitty Bento Lunch:
- Cupcake liners, silicone or paper
- Hello Kitty Rice Molds
- 2 sliced apples
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 3 black olives
- 10 pretzel sticks
- 1 slice of cheese
- 1 slice of lunch meat, rolled up
- 3 grape tomatoes
- Black icing
How to Make Hello Kitty Bento Lunch:
Fill the Hello Kitty mold with rice and press down to form the shaped rice ball. Cut three tiny pieces of olive for the eyes. To make the bow, use a slice of cherry tomato for the center with another piece, sliced in half, on either side. Put the finished rice ball in a cupcake liner.
Place the pretzel sticks in another cupcake liner. Use the bunny cutter on the slice of cheese, and place the cut piece on top of the pretzels.
Cut the apple slices into a bear shape with the bear cutter. Make eyes using the black icing, then place in another cupcake liner.
Place the leftover vegetables in a cupcake liner and put all the components in a small lunch box – or a bento box!
