Here’s How You Can Help With The Australian Fires
I have to say, each day that goes by and I see more and more pictures from the Australian Fires, my heart aches and I feel helpless.

I decided this morning I’d stop feeling helpless and instead, use that energy to figure out what I could do to help. Sure, I am only one person but chances are, you and many others want to help too.
So, Here’s How You Can Help With The Australian Fires.
Fair warning: Some of these images are graphic and quite upsetting.

On the off chance you haven’t seen what is going on, Australia is on fire.
I am not talking about a small portion, I am talking about nearly more than half of the entire country is on fire.

I even saw that as of this morning, more than a billion animals have died which means ecosystems are being burned and animals could very possibly go extinct because of these wildfires.
It breaks my heart that people and animals are losing their lives and the fires continue to spread despite aid and resources to try to extinguish the fires.

People are scrambling to help and for that, it just shows there are still good people.
So, how can you help?
Well, many people, including celebrities like Pink and Keith Urban and his wife have donated money to support Australia.

While you may not think that money is helping, it does. Everything from fuel for the planes to medical supplies and food cost money and Australia needs it.
Here’s How You Can Help With The Australian Fires
Donate Money.
If you have it, you can donate money. The following places are accepting donations that go directly to the Australian Bushfires Relief Support:
- The Australian Red Cross. You can donate here.
- The NSW Rural Fire Service has a donation page to support the firefighting efforts in New South Wales
- The Country Fire Authority is the state of Victoria’s rural firefighting service and you can donate directly here.
- The Country Fire Service in South Australia also takes direct donations.
- To help support firefighters in the state of Queensland, you can donate to the Rural Fire Brigades Association via their webpage.
Donate Supplies

If you have the time and resources, you can spend it making items to donate over there.
There are many organizations in need of handmade blankets, wraps, etc. for animals that are being rescued. One organization in particular even has patterns you can use to sew the exact items they need. You can see that info here.
Pray
If you are the praying type, pray that the fires can be put out soon. That lives can be saved and animals can be rescued.
