A few weeks ago the FDA made an announcement about hand sanitizers that were unsafe and harmful to use. Now, they’ve expanded that list to 59 types of hand sanitizers to avoid.

According to the FDA, these products contain methanol which is a type of wood alcohol that can be toxic when absorbed through the skin. So, if you are purchasing hand sanitizer to keep your hands clean and slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, avoid purchasing products that contain methanol.
