Here’s Your First Look At Netflix’s ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’
Horror movies are my absolute favorite, especially ones based on hauntings because those are the most realistic to me. Those are by far the scariest movies ever.
The Haunting of Bly Manor is based on “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James. I highly recommend reading the book while you wait for the show to come out!
“The Turn of the Screw” is an 1898 novella. The story is about a woman who has moved to the English countryside to take care of two orphaned children. Um, do you see all of those creepy dolls? Yea, that stuff is scary!
If you liked The Haunting of Hill House, then you’ll also want to watch this one! Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Gerald’s Game, Hush, Doctor Sleep) will also be directing The Haunting of Bly Manor.
The Haunting of Bly Manor even includes some of the same cast from The Haunting of Hill House, although they do play different parts. This includes Victoria Pedretti, our favorite psycho girlfriend from “You“.
This is considered sort of like a part two, more in the way that “American Horror Story” goes, a totally different story with some of the same actors and actresses. Not a continuation of the first story, but a new story! These kids already have me creeped out…
They are saying that this is going to be scarier than The Haunting of Hill House, which is great! I am ready for it! If you haven’t watched The Haunting of Hill House, it is currently streaming on Netflix, so check that out while you wait for The Haunting of Bly Manor to come out this fall!
