How to Make A Face Mask Out Of Leggings Using Just 2 Supplies
I don’t know about you but I have an abundance supply of leggings back from the LuLaRoe craze.
Aside from donating them to nurses and wearing them while stuck at home, there is now another purpose for them – using them to make face masks!
Yes, you can make a face mask out of your old leggings AND the best part is, you don’t need to know how to sew at all!
What You Need To Make A No-Sew Face Mask Out Of Leggings:
- Leggings (extra stretchy like the LuLaRoe kind work best)
- 2 Hair Ties
- Scissors
How to Make A No-Sew Face Mask Out Of Leggings:
First, cut off the bottom part of the leg of the leggings (basically start at the knee and make a cut straight across).
Next, take your two hair ties and stick them onto the legging piece on each side.
Finally, fold in the excess fabric on each side and place the folded piece towards your face.
Put the mask on and this makes an easy, no-sew mask to wear out in public per the CDC guidelines.

By the way, this is NOT supposed to be something as effective as an N95 mask.
However, the CDC has said that they now recommend all people wear masks while out in public and this is a good alternative when you lack supplies to make virus approved masks. You can read more about that here.
