Let me get this out of the way right now, if you are working in an essential job, this post is not for you. In fact, we are forever grateful for you.

This post is intended for those that think they are above health professionals and think that this pandemic is “just another flu”.

So, for those of you that Are Not Home Right Now, You Are Part Of The Problem.

You are the reason that we won’t get over this sooner rather than later.

You are the reason that many people will DIE.

You are the reason that our children will be forced to see and hear things they shouldn’t at this age.

You are the reason that our healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals won’t have a fighting chance in hell of flattening the curve.

Why?

Because you believe you are the exception.

You believe that you’re healthy and you won’t catch it.

Let me enlighten you – even IF you don’t show symptoms of having it, you can spread it to others.

When that happens, people’s illnesses and deaths will be on YOUR hands.

I don’t care if you think you are healthy. Frankly, I don’t even care if you think you have some magical immunity from this virus.

I care that you are too selfish to think of anyone else but your self.

That trip to the nail salon can wait. That extra trip to the grocery store for non-essentials, can wait. That birthday party you’ve been planning the last few months, can wait.

Trust me, nobody will die from not having their 40th birthday celebrated on their actual birthday.

But people may die from attending it.

Ask yourself this – if someone you knew caught the virus from you and died, how would you feel? If you’d feel awful – stay home.

You have an opportunity know to do one thing – a single SELFLESS act and that is to stay home.

Nobody is asking you for money. Hell, nobody is asking you to lift a dang finger. People are begging you to stay inside your home.

Take what other countries are telling us as a warning and a precursor as to what is yet to come.

Do you think that people in China, Italy and Spain thought they’d be in their current situation of choosing who lives and who dies? They didn’t and now they are paying for it.

We should be paying attention to what these poor people have to say, they are warning us and are trying to help. Yet YOU aren’t listening.

So, I beg you – STAY HOME. And if you won’t do it for me and my children, do it for yourself. I don’t care why you do it, just STAY HOME!

  1. All the above comments have merit, but we all must care about the other guy in this time of National Emergency.

  2. Oh god, this was so cringe worthy. You are definitely not a writer, you call yourself awesome in your own bio, and then go on to offer advice people never asked for and saying they cause people to “DIE!!!!” lol. Newsflash: some people can’t work from home, people who don’t stockpile like maniacs have to get groceries, people like me (only 31 but is on disability) have to get prescriptions every 4 days as I’m on a cycle. There are plenty more valid reasons why people cannot afford to stay at home like celebrities with millions of dollars yelling at everyone to self-isolate. Do your research before you write a sh*t filled article.

    1. The writer of this article need to come see me so this soldier can punch them in the face I have three kids I am the only provider and my work doesn’t pay me to be off if I dont work my family will lose everything. Ur wat wrong with this world may if the Chinese would had control and closed there borders in the first place we wouldnt have to deal with this so I hope the article of this burns in hell

    2. Oh my god, you took the words right out of my mouth. Glad I’m not the only person who agrees. This was not well-written. The tone is accusory, and the writer exaggerated when she mentioned how children will be affected by people NOT staying in. Come on, Brittanie (…something about the spelling of that name…). Posting tweets – TWEETS – that support your argument does not an article make.

  3. Some companies will not let them work from home. Including my daughters. Iam sure she has high anxiety reading this. She has my Grandbabies at home. Fortunately I can help, (I am not working right now) Yes, shes working But hopefully this can get the message out to those that are still having employees working when they can work from home. ITS not their fault!!
