King’s Hawaiian has taken its sweet rolls in a very fall direction: Maple Brown Sugar Rolls with little crumbles baked right into the bread. And somewhere along the way, the rolls also became a chocolate bar.
The limited-time rolls are arriving at select grocery stores nationwide this October. They come in a 12-count package, and the brand describes the flavor as maple and brown sugar with its familiar soft-roll texture.
The maple-brown-sugar bits are baked inside
The crumbles are the detail that makes these interesting. You get the fall flavor throughout the roll, rather than needing to add a topping yourself.
King’s Hawaiian suggests eating them straight from the bag or toasting them with butter. Its Maple Brown Sugar collection page also has recipe ideas, including Autumn Spice French Toast and hot honey chicken sliders. That gives the package a little room to move between breakfast and dinner.
There’s a $12 chocolate bar with actual roll pieces
Compartés’ matching chocolate bar folds pieces of the maple brown sugar sweet rolls into milk chocolate. The chocolatier currently lists the bar for $12.
So yes, this is bread in a chocolate bar. The tiny roll illustrations on the wrapper make the assignment pretty clear.
The rest of King’s Hawaiian’s fall collection goes all the way into cozy-night territory: sweatsets, a sherpa blanket, and a candle-and-rolls bundle. The official collection photo shows the familiar orange roll package alongside brown-and-orange merchandise and the Compartés bars.
Check the roll locator before making a special trip
The rolls’ grocery rollout and the chocolate bar’s online listing are separate shopping options. King’s Hawaiian’s store finder lets you search by ZIP code, with availability dependent on the store. A nationwide rollout does not mean every location has them on the shelf yet.
If the rolls are the part you want, start there. The blanket can be a separate life decision.
