Nothing Bundt Cakes is putting a gummy worm on a chocolate cake, which feels like exactly the right amount of nonsense for Halloween.

The bakery’s Oreo Dirt Cake Bundtlet returns October 26 through November 8, 2026, with cookie crumbs outside and chocolate pudding in the middle. It is a personal-sized cake, so there is no pretending you bought an entire dessert “for the house.”

There are two other fall flavors coming first, though. The dates matter here: this is a staggered rollout, and the gummy-worm cake is not available at the beginning of October.

What is in the Oreo Dirt Cake?

The official flavor page describes a Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake with Oreo pieces on the top and bottom, a chocolate-pudding filling and fruity gummy worms. The brand’s fall photo shows the pudding tucked inside a cut-open Bundtlet, with a worm lounging across the cookie-crumb topping.

It has the playground-dessert energy of a dirt cup, dressed up just enough to sit on a plate. The worm is still very much in charge.

The three fall flavors have different dates and sizes

According to the brand’s October 1 announcement, here is the lineup:

  • German Chocolate: October 5–18. A Chocolate Chocolate Chip Bundtlet with coconut-and-pecan filling, chocolate ganache frosting and chocolate drizzle. Personal-sized Bundtlets only.
  • Pumpkin Spice: October 12–November 29. Pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, offered in all Bundt Cake sizes.
  • Oreo Dirt Cake: October 26–November 8. The pudding-filled, gummy-worm-topped option, offered as a personal-sized Bundtlet.

That means German Chocolate and Oreo Dirt Cake do not share a release window. Pumpkin Spice overlaps with each, so it is the common option if you are picking up different flavors for a group.

Before you make a cake run

These are limited-time flavors at bakeries nationwide, while supplies last. The announcement does not give a nationwide price; check your bakery for pricing and availability before heading over.

For a Halloween gathering, the Oreo window covers October 31. For Thanksgiving, Pumpkin Spice is the one scheduled to stick around. A little calendar planning now beats showing up three weeks early for a gummy worm.
