Pumpkin coffee has plenty of company in Kroger’s fall grocery aisle. The new Private Selection Pumpkin Harvest collection includes pumpkin cheesecake granola clusters, iced popcorn and blondies with cream cheese icing. Apparently the snack cupboard would also like a sweater.

Kroger announced the limited-time collection on September 16, describing more than 15 pumpkin-inspired products. The shopping detail to catch before making a trip: Food 4 Less is excluded from the announced Kroger-family rollout.

The snack options are the interesting part

If you already have your pumpkin-coffee situation handled, these are three different directions for the snack shelf:

  • Pumpkin Cheesecake Granola Clusters: A crunchy option inspired by pumpkin cheesecake, rather than an actual refrigerated cheesecake.
  • Pumpkin Popcorn: Pumpkin-spice glaze and an icing drizzle make this the sweet-popcorn choice.
  • Pumpkin Spice Blondies: These have cream cheese icing, pecans and butterscotch chips. The pecans are worth noticing before adding them to a shared treat plate.

Those descriptions come from Kroger, not a taste test. I would pick by the kind of snack you want—crunchy clusters, popcorn or an iced bakery bite—before letting the word “pumpkin” make every decision in the cart.

There are coffee and cookie options, too

The announced lineup also includes ground coffee and coffee pods, pumpkin-spice syrup, chai black tea, spiced cashews, shortbread cookies and gluten-free pumpkin streusel muffins. “Gluten-free” describes those muffins; it is not a blanket claim about the whole collection.

There is no need to rebuild your entire pantry around one flavor. A drink option and one snack are a much more manageable starting point than discovering you bought six different things for the same afternoon coffee break.

Check your local cart, not a nationwide price assumption

The announcement does not supply item-by-item national prices. Check Kroger.com or your local Kroger-family store and confirm the item, package size, price and availability before planning a pickup.

Limited-time also is not an exact sellout date. No need to invent a countdown; just check the products you actually want while planning your next regular grocery trip.

For a completely different snack-board idea, the Milton’s and Kale Junkie caviar pairing starts with grocery-store crackers instead of pumpkin.
