Okay, freezer check—but a very specific one. MorningStar Farms recalled two products, not the entire freezer aisle, so the UPC and best-by date are doing all the work here.

Which MorningStar Farms products are recalled?

  • Buffalo Chik’n Nuggets, 10.5 oz. UPC 000 28989 10110 5; better-if-used-before dates July 7 or July 8, 2027.
  • Hot & Spicy Sausage Patties, 8 oz. UPC 000 28989 10094 8; better-if-used-before dates July 5, July 6, or July 7, 2027.

The company says no other MorningStar Farms products are included.

What should you do?

If the product, UPC, and date all match, discard it and contact the company for a full refund. Consumer Affairs is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Eastern, at 800-962-0120 or by text at 877-453-5837.

If only the brand matches, that is not enough. Keep the package in your hand and compare every number with the FDA-posted MorningStar Farms announcement.
