A new Elizabeth Bennet, a new Mr. Darcy, and Olivia Colman managing the Bennet household? Netflix has released the trailer for its Pride and Prejudice series, so there’s finally more than a cast list to pore over.
The six-episode adaptation premieres December 3, 2026. Dolly Alderton wrote the series, and Euros Lyn directs.
Where to watch the trailer
You can watch it on Netflix’s official Tudum trailer page. Netflix describes this as the first footage of the characters in action, following the earlier production photos. The December premiere date was announced before this trailer, at the Jane Austen Festival.
Who plays Elizabeth and Darcy?
Emma Corrin plays Elizabeth Bennet, opposite Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy. Colman is Mrs. Bennet, with Rufus Sewell as Mr. Bennet.
The official cast guide also lists Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham, and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
If you’re new to Austen’s story, Elizabeth and Darcy’s rocky romance unfolds alongside the five Bennet sisters’ searches for love and security. This is a series, not a new movie adaptation, so put December 3 on the watchlist and leave room for six episodes.
