Dinner has a very annoying habit of being ready in stages. The main is done, the side needs another ten minutes, and now something gets cold while everything else catches up.
The Ninja Crispi DualZone is built around that problem. It has two separate glass cooking bowls, and Ninja’s Smart Finish setting coordinates different cooking times so both dishes finish together.
Then the bowls become leftover containers. That second part deserves some attention.
Two cooking zones, then two containers for the fridge
Each bowl holds 4 quarts, for an 8-quart total. You can use different settings in each zone. Smart Finish staggers the start times; Match Cook copies one zone’s settings to the other when you want a double batch.
Ninja includes two storage lids and two crisper plates. The idea is to cook, serve and store in the same glassware, instead of transferring leftovers into yet another container.
Fewer dishes is a useful selling point. It also means the bowl you need for tonight’s dinner could currently be holding yesterday’s dinner, which is worth thinking about before buying.
Check your counter space before the color
The Vista Green model was listed at $379.99 when checked October 4. This is a substantial countertop appliance: Ninja lists it at 16.7 by 11.73 by 11.57 inches and 31 pounds.
Its six modes are Air Fry, Bake, Dehydrate, Max Crisp, Roast and Recrisp. Ninja says the glass bowls, crisper plates and storage lids are dishwasher-safe.
The appeal here is two-part meals and less transferring afterward. If you mostly cook one small portion at a time, those two bowls and the countertop space may be more than you need.
You can check the current Crispi DualZone price and options at Ninja. And if the storage-bowl idea is the part that caught your eye, the Ninja PREPi uses its own bowls for food prep and storage. Different appliance, similar fewer-containers appeal.
