The annoying little bonus round of meal prep is finding another container for everything you just chopped. Ninja’s new PREPi has a pretty sensible answer: put a lid on the prep bowl and move it to the fridge.

The Ninja PREPi starts at $179.99 and comes with two bowls, each with a storage lid. It chops, slices, shreds, purées, and makes crinkle cuts. The bowls do the storage part afterward.

One fewer container to hunt down? That is a kitchen-appliance pitch with some actual usefulness.

The bowls are the interesting part

You get a 5-cup bowl and a 7-cup bowl, so you can use one for prep while the other is holding something in the refrigerator. Ninja also designed them for serving and taking food along, rather than making you transfer everything out of the processor bowl immediately.

The standard PN301 includes a 500-watt motor base, a chopping-and-puréeing blade, a reversible slicing-and-shredding disc, and a crinkle-cut disc. The listed footprint is 9.3 by 9.3 inches, with a height of 10 inches.

Check the model if you want diced vegetables

Here’s the detail worth catching before checkout: the $179.99 base model doesn’t include the dicing kit.

  • PN301, $179.99: chopping, puréeing, slicing, shredding, and crinkle cuts, with the two bowls and lids.
  • PN351, $229.99: the Copper + Teal configuration adds the dicing kit.
  • Separate dicing kit, $59.99: an accessory for the PREPi system, not a standalone appliance.

At those listed prices, the base machine plus the separate kit comes to $239.98 before tax. The $229.99 configuration is $9.99 less if you already know you want the dicer. That’s a comparison of the listed configurations, not a sale price.

If you only want the five standard functions, though, the dicing model costs another $50. You don’t need to pay for an extra attachment just because it exists.

Where to look

SharkNinja announced the PREPi on October 2. The prices above were checked on its U.S. product pages October 4; colors, stock, and pricing can change. Check the exact model’s included-parts list before ordering, especially if you’re choosing a different color or bundle.
