I am not sure where exactly everyone is getting all of their medical information, but for some reason people actually believe that you can get the flu from a flu shot.

No. You can’t.

And every time you say you did you just sound dumb. So stop saying it!

It’s completely impossible for you to catch the flu from being vaccinated according to experts. (And when I say experts, I mean like actual doctors. Not your friend on Facebook that like really knows a lot about the flu and shots and junk.)

Now I get that you are super set on believing that you can actually get the flu from the flu shot, so I am going to lay it out for you. The vaccine is from a dead virus.

The virus that has actually been killed. So it can’t give you any sort of flu at all. Oh, and it’s like a couple of teeny tiny proteins, nothing you could even get the flu from if it were ALIVE. It’s not even the WHOLE virus.

It’s just like, a smidgen.

So, I just need everyone to take two and a half steps back and remember what the flu feels like. It’s not a couple of sniffles. (Which can actually be a side effect from the flu shot.)

It’s like days and DAYS of feeling completely awful. Aches, pains, fevers, chills, and you know all that other bodily stuff that it’s just not fun to even think about.

At all.

So, remember, one more time– you can NOT get the flu from a flu shot. Nope. Never. Oh, and in case you’re wondering? Here are 5 reasons not to vaccinate your kids.
