Sometimes what you gotta do in life is get your paddleboard. Your non-sinking paddleboard. And go paddleboarding. Fine. That is the whole plan. I am completely on board with a Sunday that does not need a giant itinerary.
The neat thing about being on the lake with your friends is that you can hook your boards together and see what happens. Nobody has to paddle off by themselves while everyone else tries to catch up. You are all right there, turning a simple afternoon on the water into a little floating hangout.
That is why Quail Lake was the perfect way to spend my Sunday afternoon. Get your people together, bring the boards, and let the plan be that you are together on the lake. That is enough. Honestly, that is a very good Sunday.
You do not have to race across the lake or turn the outing into a complicated production. The point can just be staying with your friends and seeing where the afternoon goes. Hook the boards together, keep your people close, and let the plan work itself out from there. This is not a day that needs a spreadsheet. It needs a paddleboard and the group chat to say yes.
That is the kind of plan I want more of: one clear reason to get together, with no pressure to make the afternoon into some huge event. Just you, your friends, your paddleboards, and a lake. I would happily make room for more Sundays like that.
