The new 4K edition of Pan’s Labyrinth has four release dates. Which one goes on your calendar depends on whether you want a digital copy, a rental or a disc for the shelf.
Guillermo del Toro’s dark fairy tale is getting a 20th-anniversary home release from Cineverse. The official film site confirms November 10 for digital ownership, but renting it means waiting a little longer.
Here’s when each version arrives
According to Cineverse’s October 29 announcement, the schedule is:
- November 10, 2026: Digital purchase of the restored film.
- December 1, 2026: The 4K + Blu-ray Collector’s Edition SteelBook and the Blu-ray Collector’s Edition.
- December 8, 2026: Digital rental.
- December 29, 2026: A separate 4K + Blu-ray Collector’s Edition.
So the December 29 edition is not the first chance to get the movie on a 4K disc. The SteelBook edition arrives December 1. Check the exact edition name when comparing listings rather than assuming every anniversary copy ships on the same day.
A restoration, not a different story
Del Toro oversaw the 4K restoration using the original 35mm elements. The official anniversary FAQ also says the story has not changed. This is not a newly announced alternate cut.
And November 10 is a digital purchase date, not a promise that the restored edition will be included with a streaming subscription.
