Soup in a bowl you can eat? QDOBA has my attention.
The chain brought back Tortilla Soup on November 3, 2026, alongside new Chicken Tinga. And yes, you can put the new chicken in the soup. Dinner does not have to be complicated.
A cup of soup or the whole loaded situation?
According to QDOBA’s announcement, the cup comes topped with sour cream and tortilla strips. The Loaded Tortilla Soup is an entrée you customize with a protein and toppings, served in a crunchy tortilla-shell bowl.
If you already have a burrito order you refuse to mess with, the cup lets you try the soup alongside it. If soup is the plan, look for the loaded entrée instead. Those are two different orders, so check which one you’re selecting.
What’s in the new Chicken Tinga?
QDOBA describes its flame-grilled chicken as coated in a smoky sauce made with fire-roasted tomatoes, onions, peppers and spices. Besides the loaded soup, it can go in burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos and kids meals.
For the soup-and-tinga combo, choose Chicken Tinga as the protein on your loaded soup order. No need to abandon your usual toppings just to try the new chicken.
The broth is vegan. Your finished order might not be.
The soup’s broth is vegan, but the standard cup includes sour cream. Chicken and other toppings change the finished meal, too. If you want a vegan order, check the toppings and customizations with your restaurant rather than stopping at the word “broth.”
Both items are available for a limited time at participating locations. Check your restaurant’s menu in the QDOBA app or online ordering for availability and local pricing before heading out.
