Royal Dansk’s blue cookie tin has made it onto the Christmas tree. And this version actually shows the cookies, which is a nice change for anyone who associates that tin with a surprise sewing kit.
Old World Christmas partnered with Royal Dansk on a glass ornament modeled after the familiar Danish butter cookie tin. The October 5 announcement puts the price at $27.99, and that matches the brand’s current listing.
The tiny cookies are part of the charm
In the official photos, the blue-and-gold lid sits off to one side, showing little golden cookie shapes underneath. The Royal Dansk label is there, along with the white paper-cup details and a little glitter. It looks like someone interrupted the tin halfway through snack time.
Old World Christmas says the ornament is mouth-blown and hand-painted. This is a glass decoration, so it belongs with the ornaments you wrap carefully when the tree comes down.
The sewing-supply connection is part of the collaboration’s story, too. The announcement specifically calls out the buttons, thread and keepsakes that often move into those tins after the cookies are gone. Royal Dansk has been making its Danish butter cookies since 1966, giving this holiday partnership 60 years of cookie-tin history to work with.
Where to find it
The Royal Dansk Cookies Tin Ornament is listed at Old World Christmas for $27.99. The official store showed it as available when checked October 6. Stock and shipping offers can change, so check the listing before ordering.
For another familiar kitchen item that got promoted to the tree, Nespresso’s Swarovski ornaments turn coffee capsules into Christmas decorations. The kitchen is having a surprisingly strong ornament season.
