A royal divorce with a rival prince already in the picture? That is a very specific kind of palace drama.

The Remarried Empress arrived a day ahead of its planned November 4 premiere. Disney announced the first four episodes for November 3 on Disney+ and Hulu. But that early drop does not mean the whole season is out.

When do the next episodes arrive?

Disney’s announced Disney+ schedule is two new episodes each Wednesday, starting November 11 and ending November 25. Here’s the calendar:

  • November 3: First four episodes.
  • November 11: Two more episodes.
  • November 18: Two more episodes.
  • November 25: The final two episodes.

So if you finish the opening batch tonight, November 11 is the next date to circle. If you prefer waiting for the ending before starting, November 25 is your date.

What is The Remarried Empress about?

The Disney+ series page describes Empress Navier ruling alongside her husband, Sovieshu, until he brings Rashta into the palace and their marriage unravels. Navier’s condition for agreeing to divorce is permission to marry Prince Heinrey, a rival from the Western Kingdom.

In other words, this is romance with royal consequences. Disney+ labels it drama, romance, and fantasy, and lists Shin Mina, Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk, and Lee Seyoung in the cast.

The public Disney+ listing currently shows episodes 1 through 4. Disney’s launch announcement also names Hulu, but the future episode dates above are the schedule it specifically gives for Disney+. We have not independently checked playback inside a Hulu account.

Start with episode 1 if you want to follow the palace relationships from the beginning. This is a release guide based on Disney’s announcement and series listing, not a review of episodes we have watched.
