You have most likely already heard that Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus. But Guess what? They are not freaking out, least according to their son, Chet.
Yesterday Tom Hanks posted on his social media accounts that he and his wife were not feeling well, so they went to get checked. Boom…Coronavirus.
Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.Tom Hanks
They are currently in Australia because Tom Hanks is filming a movie over there. Pre-production has since been halted on the Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley biopic.
Soon after Tom had posted the news to his social media, his son Chet posted an update to his own social media to try to calm others down.
I just got off the phone with them. They both are fine. They’re not even that sick. They’re not worried about it. They’re not trippin’, but they’re going through the necessary health precautions, obviously,Chet
See, the average healthy person will be sick, but they will most likely get through it just as any other viral illness they pick up. We have to quit freaking out. Stop trippin’!
I say this as a person that falls into the high-risk category. Healthwise, I am JACKED in all capital letters. I refuse to freak out and will continue to take the same precautions that I take every single day of my life.
At least during quarantine, he has a different Wilson to hang out with. One that can actually reply during a conversation!
I’m sure they will recover just fine and back to star in great movies! At least they have each other!

I think everyone will be keeping tabs on them. If they come out fine, I think the world will sigh a big relief knowing that the "virus" can be beaten. And maybe free up some toilet paper for others, lol. Coronavirus is a mutating virus, so I understand the fear that many people have. Wash your hands, stay away from your face, eat healthy and I pray that everyone comes out unscathed.
