I Tried To Watch ‘Hubie Halloween’ And It Was Awful

Y’all, I tried. I tried so hard to make it through the entire ‘Hubie Halloween’ movie and I did not succeed.

There are certain Adam Sandler movies that I absolutely love, like ‘The Waterboy’. In fact, ‘The Waterboy’ is one of our favorites to watch as a family.

I’m sad that I couldn’t make it through this movie or even enjoy it. I just spent nearly an hour trying though.

Like, I didn’t even know what Adam Sandler was saying most of the time. He has created this Hubie character with a voice/accent combination that was dang near impossible for me to understand.

It was just too much. I thought it was hard to understand people with masks on, this is way worse. How can I watch a movie if I don’t even know what the main character is saying?

The funniest thing about the movie was the thrift store shirt finds that Hubie’s mother wore throughout the movie. Seriously, that is about it.

I was really hoping for something hilarious from this. It has some of my all-time favorite actors in it and I am sadly very letdown.

I’m going to ask my teenagers to give it a try and see if they feel differently about the movie than I did. I did say in my first post about this movie ‘Hubie Halloween‘ that Adam Sandler’s movies are either a complete hit or a complete miss with me.
