While Walmart is currently working on turning their parking lots into drive-in movie theaters, the retail store is also introducing “Camp by Walmart” this summer!
Walmart described the experience in a press release as,
…”A free star-studded virtual camp that brings summer fun directly to customers’ own backyards…”Walmart
Along with establishing a partnership with Tribeca Enterprises, Walmart has shook hands with big name celebrities including Drew Barrymore, Neil Patrick Harris, LeBron James, Idina Menzel and Todd Oldham to host Camp Walmart!
A camp designed for the internet, will be produced and developed in partnership with CAMP, a Family Experience Company, which will also be powered by the media company eko.
Starting July 8th, kids can virtually become involved in various activities such as arts and crafts, fitness and many more.
To sign up, parents can visit the Walmart app under the services tab from the bottom navigation, to obtain access of 50 camp activities for free!
Celebrity and expert-led camp sessions will also be available for kids, some of which will include “The Great Family Challenge,” morning kick-off with Head Camp Counselor, actor Neil Patrick Harris, “Skills Camp” and “Smarts and Crafts”.
There will be 200 new activities offered within the app to keep kids busy and entertained with fresh objectives throughout the summer!
