Let me preface all of this by saying, as far as we know as of NOW, The Mandalorian is set to be released in October of 2020. Of course, it is set to come out on Disney+, but I’m sure you already knew that!

But, here’s what we are hoping.

A LOT of film companies have ceased production on many movies and TV shows. HOWEVER, The Mandalorian wrapped filming BEFORE this pesky coronavirus mess started.

What could that possibly mean for The Mandalorian release date?

We KNOW The Mandalorian is in post production.

Now that film companies “have nothing to do” perhaps they will speed up the process of post production, bringing us these theatrical releases and TV shows sooner than expected.

A crap-ton goes into post production, though. I mean, there’s still sound design, color grading, and score that has to be dealt with.

These things take time. Lots of time, in some cases.

But, depending on how long this coronavirus standstill lasts, perhaps they may green-light a light-speed-ahead approach to bringing us The Mandalorian 2 early!

It wouldn’t be the ONLY time Disney+ has decided to drop programming early. They just released Frozen 2 AHEAD of schedule on the streaming channel, and kids everywhere let out a happy dance.

You can bet I’ll be happy dancing around my front room if they are able to get The Mandalorian to us ahead of schedule!

BRING BACK BABY YODA!!
