Will Target Be Open For Thanksgiving This Year?

After Walmart closed their doors on Thanksgiving last year, Target also made sure customers couldn’t get in or out on the day of thanks.

So if you were thinking of waiting in a long line of eager holiday shoppers to get the best deals and markdown items, it looks like you’ll have to change plans.

The popular retail store is again closing their doors on Thanksgiving Day because of the positive response after shutting down for the holiday last year.

In fact, Target actually announced their plans back to close on turkey day in January of this year.

“We also closed our stores on Thanksgiving Day in order to minimize crowds and help our guests take the stress out of getting the best deals of the season,” the company said in the January release. “The response was so positive that we’ll carry it forward this year, keeping our Target stores closed all day long on Thanksgiving Day. This is just one example of how our evolving strategy is meeting the needs of our business and our guests.”
