ALDI has a new answer for the nights when making dinner sounds exhausting: refrigerated, ready-to-heat meals, including butter chicken, brisket mac and cheese and a chicken burrito bowl.
Before you grab your quarter and head over, check the calendar. The rollout starts in select markets in early October 2026. ALDI says more markets will follow through the fall, with nationwide availability expected by January 2027.
Five single-serve meals are coming for under $8
The September 22 announcement lists these five single-serve choices:
- Beef Bolognese Spaghetti
- Beef Brisket with White Mac & Cheese
- Butter Chicken & Rice
- Chicken Burrito Bowl
- Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
Each single-serve meal is priced under $8. The seven-meal collection also includes two larger options priced under $15: Chicken and Bacon Mac n’ Cheese and Meat Lovers Pizza Bake. Those family-size trays are separate from the five pictured above.
The bigger trays need more time
The single servings are the microwave options. ALDI lists heating times of 3½ to 4½ minutes, depending on the meal, followed by one minute of standing time.
The family-size meals need an oven. ALDI’s directions total 40 minutes of baking, followed by two minutes of standing time. A family tray is not a five-minute dinner, even though it takes the ingredient prep off your plate.
Use the directions on the package you buy; appliance timing can vary.
Look near the front of the store
Once the meals reach your ALDI, the brand says to look in the refrigerated meals section near the entrance. These are refrigerated meals, not a new frozen-food collection.
ALDI has not supplied one arrival date for every store in the announcement, so an October launch does not mean every location gets them at once. The company also plans additional meal options as ALDI Finds throughout the following year.
