The Mandalorian Revealed Baby Yoda’s Real Name and It’s Totally Not As Cute As I Expected

Okay, if you are still reading this, I am assuming you have seen it or don’t care if things are spoiled for you…
So, The Mandalorian Chapter 13: The Jedi was released today on Disney+ and OMG this is a HUGE step forward in knowing more about the beloved character Baby Yoda aka The Child.
Why you ask? Because they announced Baby Yoda’s OFFICIAL name and honestly, it’s not nearly as cute as I thought it would be…
In this episode, Mando and Baby Yoda find Ahsoka Tano, the Padawan learner of fallen Jedi Anakin Skywalker.
When Ahsoka forms a Force connection with the Child in the burned forest of Corvus, she says she can understand him “in a way.”
“Grogu and I can feel each other’s thoughts. At the end of the Clone Wars when the Empire rose to power, he was hidden. Someone took him from the Temple. Then his memory becomes… dark. He seemed lost. Alone.”
Ahsoka reveals the 50-year-old Grogu was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant where he received training from many Jedi Masters.
So, there you have it – Grogu is his name.
I mean, I guess it kind of sounds like Groot from Guardians of The Galaxy which Groot is adorable!
But honestly, I think I’ll just stick to calling him Baby Yoda. It rolls off the tongue better!
