Barbie and Ken are matching for Día de Muertos this year, and Mattel went all-in on deep red, black and tiny sculpted details instead of making the two dolls look identical.
The 2026 Día de Muertos Barbie and Ken are both listed at $81 on Mattel Creations. They are part of Barbie Signature’s annual Día de Muertos series.
Barbie’s dress pulls from traditional Mexican pottery
Barbie wears a deep-red satin mermaid gown with embroidered patterns Mattel says are inspired by traditional Mexican pottery. The look also includes a skeletal ribcage design, a brooch and a removable sugar-skull-inspired mask with sculpted roses.
Mattel credits Edna Vogel-Amezcua as the doll designer and Charis Ceniseroz as the packaging designer.
Ken gets the matching red-and-black look
Ken’s outfit uses a knee-length deep-red jacquard jacket with a subtle sugar-skull design over a black shirt and pants printed with bones. His skull-style mask and removable top hat are finished with a red rose that ties his look back to Barbie’s.
Both dolls include certificates of authenticity and display stands, according to Mattel.
There is a whole Día de Muertos collection this year
These two dolls are only part of Mattel’s current Día de Muertos collectibles collection. The lineup also includes Barbie and Monster High merchandise such as mugs, glasses, totes, posters, sweatshirts and tees.

They match as a pair, but the little design differences give each doll its own look.
