One open spot on the holiday cookie tray, two very different ways to fill it. Betty Crocker has a little blue box of OREO truffles you can make without turning on the oven. Over in the refrigerated aisle, Pillsbury has Hot Cocoa Cookie Dough that makes a dozen big cookies. General Mills shared both with Totally The Bomb as part of its 2026 holiday lineup.

Look for the blue OREO truffle box with the snowflakes

The words to look for are “with holiday sprinkles.” The limited-edition Betty Crocker mix comes with real OREO cookie pieces and blue-and-white sprinkles for the outside. Follow the box directions to mix and roll the centers, then roll each one in the sprinkles. You get the snowy finish without having to melt dipping chocolate.

Target listed the 8.6-ounce box at $5.79 when we checked. Search the Target app for item 1010325478 to find that exact holiday box and check the price and availability at your store. If you want a chocolate-coated version, we also have a three-ingredient OREO truffle recipe.

Pillsbury’s hot cocoa comes by the dozen

The brown Hot Cocoa Cookie Dough package has the Doughboy and little cocoa mugs on the front. Inside are 12 ready-to-bake rounds made with real cocoa. They’re the option I’d pick for a tray that needs something warm, especially if the rest of the holiday baking has already covered every inch of the counter in flour.

Pillsbury’s baking directions call for a 350°F oven and about two inches between the rounds. Give the cookies time to cool on the sheet before moving them. If someone else has already claimed the oven for dinner, that blue box of OREO truffles starts looking especially good.
