Starbucks Secret Menu: Drinks, Recipes and How to Order

A drink dressed as Jack Skellington. Cold brew with strawberry shortcake ambitions. A Frappuccino that has fully committed to being a candy bar. This is why the Starbucks secret menu is fun: your coffee order can have a little imagination.

Which one are you ordering?

These are favorites from our recipe archive. Open a recipe for the order, then check your store for the ingredients.

Find your kind of drink

This is Totally The Bomb’s home for Starbucks secret menu recipes, with a guide to choosing a drink up here and our full Starbucks archive below. Find your kind of drink, open the recipe, and keep the ingredient list handy. The nickname is for us. The actual order is for the barista.

There is more here than a list of drink names. The Frappuccino section is for blended, dessert-style orders; cold brew keeps coffee at the center; Refreshers lean fruity; chai and lattes cover the warm-and-spiced end of the menu. Seasonal sections bring the Halloween characters and holiday flavors together, and the at-home recipes have their own spot for days when leaving the house is asking too much.

Start with a flavor you already like, then explore. The individual recipes hold the details, so you can save one order without having to screenshot an entire category page. Our older creations belong here alongside newer guides, with the ingredient checks that make the difference between a good idea and an order your store can actually fill.

The best place to start

If you came here hungry and immediately forgot how decisions work, start with the flavor you actually want.

Before you pick: these are recipes from our archive, not a promise that every store has every ingredient today. The individual pages give the original sizes and amounts. Select your store before ordering, especially for seasonal sauces, specialty toppings and older syrups. A custom blend or foam preparation may need an in-store conversation.

Starbucks secret menu Frappuccinos

This is the dessert counter. Blended drinks give us room for chocolate, caramel, fruit, whipped cream and a truly unreasonable amount of character inspiration.

  • Twix Frappuccino: caramel, hazelnut and java chips, finished with caramel and mocha drizzle. Start here if chocolate-and-caramel is your answer to most dessert questions.
  • Pink Cotton Candy Frappuccino: the archive recipe uses a venti Strawberries and Crème Frappuccino, less strawberry and three pumps of raspberry. Confirm the current base and syrup options with your store.
  • Sally Frappuccino: vanilla bean, matcha and caramel with a strawberry finish. A little green, a little pink, very committed to the costume.
  • Oogie Boogie Frappuccino: white mocha and java chips with whipped cream and matcha. The original also calls for cookie crumbles; check for that topping.
  • Strawberry Cheesecake Frappuccino: a strawberry-and-cream drink with hazelnut and strawberry pieces. Its graham-cracker topping is an ingredient to check before you commit.
  • Butterbeer Frappuccino: an older caramel-and-toffee-nut recipe with a brown-butter topping. Keep this one in the archive-favorites pile until your store confirms those ingredients.

Choose the coffee or crème base named in the recipe. They are different starting points, and changing one changes the finished drink. A crème label also does not make every combination caffeine-free once matcha, chocolate or other additions enter the picture.

Cold brew with something extra

For the person who wants coffee and also wants the top of that coffee to resemble dessert. Completely reasonable.

  • Cookie Butter Cold Brew: the recipe starts a grande with one pump each of hazelnut and brown sugar, then adds vanilla sweet cream cold foam and cinnamon if offered.
  • Strawberry Shortcake Cold Brew: white chocolate mocha sauce and named Strawberry Cream Cold Foam. Follow the replacement step so you do not accidentally order two foams.
  • Peppermint Sweet Cream Cold Brew: an archive recipe for vanilla-and-peppermint coffee with extra foam. Ask whether the store can make its peppermint-foam preparation.
  • Butterbeer Cold Brew: white mocha, caramel and toffee nut in the original recipe. Check the toffee nut before planning your trip around it; a substitute makes a different version.

The pump counts on a venti recipe are not instructions for every size. Start with the published size, or ask for help scaling the sweetness down. You can always order a sweeter version next time. You cannot remove syrup from the cup with determination.

Refreshers, pink drinks and fruity orders

Start with the actual base, then decide whether you want something creamy or something closer to lemonade. That choice matters more than whether the drink has an adorable name.

  • Strawberries and Cream Refresher: the original uses a Strawberry Açaí Refresher, strawberry purée and sweet cream.
  • Cotton Candy Refresher: a Pink Drink with raspberry and a custom foam finish. This is a different recipe from the blended Cotton Candy Frappuccino.
  • Love Potion Refresher: an archive combination of dragonfruit lemonade, passion tea, strawberry and raspberry. Its blended foam is a preparation to discuss with the store.
  • Fuzzy Peach Refresher: dragonfruit, peach juice, vanilla and coconutmilk in the original. Check for peach juice before choosing this one.
  • The archive’s “Keto Pink Drink”: this is a Passion Tango tea customization with sugar-free vanilla and cream, not the standard Pink Drink. Its nickname is not a verified nutrition claim for your finished order.

For sweetness questions, read our guide to sugar-free Starbucks Refreshers. Changing lemonade to water does not remove sugar already in a base.

Caffeine choices have changed, too. Starbucks announced classic, Energy and caffeine-free Refresher options in the U.S. in April 2026. Choose the version you intend to order; a fruity appearance tells you nothing about its caffeine.

Chai, hot drinks and cozy lattes

The secret menu has plenty for people who would like their hands to stay warm.

  • Chai latte customization guide: start here for the current recipe’s sweetness controls and how to make a dirty chai.
  • Raspberry Cobbler-Inspired Iced Chai: the updated recipe uses raspberry. Choose this for fruit and spice rather than a chocolate-heavy drink.
  • Cinderella Latte: an autumn archive favorite that replaces half the pumpkin pumps in a Pumpkin Spice Latte with white mocha. Pumpkin availability sets the season.
  • Cookie Butter Chai: an older iced chai recipe with soy milk, brown sugar and a brown-butter topping. Check the topping and account for changes to the chai base.
  • Peppermint Bark Latte: a peppermint white mocha variation with coconutmilk and a little mocha drizzle. Holiday sprinkles are a finishing touch to check separately.
  • Butterbeer Latte: the original hot-or-iced recipe uses caramel and toffee nut. Read it for the combination, then confirm your store’s syrups.

Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day drinks

Some of us give our coffee a Halloween costume before we choose our own. There is a whole shelf of recipes for that.

Halloween and pumpkin

Start with Jack Skellington for pumpkin and chai, Sally for matcha and strawberry, or Oogie Boogie for white mocha and java chips. Our Hocus Pocus collection leads to the individual Winifred, Mary and Sarah recipes. For a hot drink, there is the Cinderella Latte.

These are themed customizations. A character’s name does not make the drink an official Starbucks collaboration.

The Grinch beside a green matcha Frappuccino topped with whipped cream and red strawberry pieces

Christmas and winter

The Grinch Frappuccino gets its green from matcha and its red heart from strawberry pieces. For peppermint, choose the Peppermint Bark Latte or Peppermint Sweet Cream Cold Brew. These archive recipes are winter inspiration, not an announcement that a new holiday menu has launched.

Valentine’s Day and pink-drink occasions

Try the Love Potion Refresher, Pink Cotton Candy Frappuccino or Strawberries and Cream Refresher. Check each recipe’s ingredients. Old Valentine’s promotions and delivery codes have their own dates; the drink idea does not extend the deal.

How to order from the Starbucks secret menu

  1. Open the individual recipe. Read the size, base and complete changes before you order. A photo is useful, but it does not tell the barista what went into the cup.
  2. Choose your store. Check the local menu for the base, syrups, sauces and toppings. If one is unavailable, choose another recipe or ask about a variation.
  3. Start with size, temperature and base. For example: a grande Cold Brew. Then list the changes from that recipe.
  4. Say what gets replaced. Removing an original syrup or foam is different from adding another one on top.
  5. Use the app when it offers the whole order. Custom blended toppings and unusual preparations may not be selectable. Ask in person rather than putting instructions in your account name.
  6. Check the price before paying. The base price and extras depend on the order and location.

For a simple starting order, the Cookie Butter recipe translates to: a grande Cold Brew with one pump hazelnut, one pump brown sugar, vanilla sweet cream cold foam and cinnamon powder, if those choices are offered. That is one recipe’s order. It is not a universal script for every drink on this page.

Is the Starbucks secret menu official?

There are two things people mean by “secret menu.” Our archive includes fan and contributor recipes built from Starbucks ingredients. Separately, Starbucks introduced featured customizations in its app in July 2025.

At launch, Starbucks directed Rewards members to the Rewards tab, where a featured drink could be added with its customizations filled in. The four launch drinks were Cookies on Top, Dragonfruit Glow-Up, Lemon, Tea & Pearls, and Just Add White Mocha. Those names describe the 2025 launch lineup, not a guaranteed current menu.

Use the app’s current offerings for your store. A recipe being popular online does not automatically make it an app feature, a permanent menu item or a drink every barista knows by name.

Caffeine, sweetness, milk and price

Can I make these drinks less sweet?

Often, you can reduce added syrups or sauces and skip a sweet topping. But that does not remove sugar already in the base or other ingredients. Starbucks’ customization guidance explains current choices and directs customers to its ingredient and nutrition information. Use that information for the actual components you choose.

Which secret menu drinks are caffeine-free?

Check the entire order. Coffee, espresso, tea, matcha and chocolate additions matter, and Refresher caffeine options now vary. Choose a caffeine-free base where offered and confirm the additions. “No coffee” and “no caffeine” are different requests.

Does switching the milk make a drink dairy-free?

Check sauces, whipped cream and cold foam as well as the milk. A milk substitution alone does not establish what is in the finished drink. For an allergy, discuss the exact order and preparation with the store.

How much does a secret menu drink cost?

There is no single secret-menu price. You are paying for the base drink and the customizations. Use your selected store’s cart or ask before ordering; a price in an older recipe is not today’s quote.

What if a recipe uses an ingredient Starbucks no longer has?

Keep the recipe as inspiration, but check a substitute before ordering. Swapping a syrup can change the flavor, sweetness and texture. If the missing ingredient is the whole point, pick another drink. There are enough here to avoid spending your morning negotiating with an imaginary bottle of syrup.

Make a Starbucks-inspired drink at home

The blender at home does not care whether you are still in pajamas.

These are home recipes, so their ingredients are not instructions to hand a Starbucks barista.
