Chris Pratt Doesn’t Go By The Name ‘Chris’ And I’m Shook

It always freaks me out when we’ve been calling a celebrity by a certain name FOREVER, but then we find out that’s not really their name at all.

Like Ashton Kutcher’s real name is Christopher. WHAT?!? He goes by his middle name for all his TV and movie gigs.

I can’t wrap my head around it.

Now, we are finding out that Chris Pratt (Why do we always call celebrities by their first and last names?) doesn’t actually go by ‘Chris.’

My world just exploded.

Turns out, nobody calls him ‘Chris.’ Not his family, not his friends, not anyone who knows him well.

In fact, when people try to call him ‘Chris,’ it kinda weirds him out.

No one calls me Chris. My friend, Chad. I went golfing with my friend, Chad, my pastor, the other day and he was like, ‘No one calls you Chris? I’m gonna call you Chris. Alright, Chris. You’re up.’

According To Entertainment Weekly, Chris Pratt actually goes by ‘Pratt’ or ‘CP.’

I know. I was kinda hoping it was Star-Lord, too.

And I was like, ‘No, it feels weird. It’s not my name. Don’t call me Chris.’

Oh, don’t get it wrong. His real name is, in fact, ‘Chris.’ He just doesn’t ever use that name in the real world.

Does this mean he’s not in the league of Chris’ — or The Hollywood Chris Club — anymore?

He fits in rather nicely alongside some other mighty fine Chrises — Hemsworth, Evans, Pine.

Nah. Pratt can stay in the hottest club in Hollywood!
