Remember finishing a pouch of Fun Dip and eating the stick? The holiday version makes the stick a cherry or green apple candy cane. You get a packet of sour powder to dip it in, and the flavor combos are entirely up to you. Green apple dipped in watermelon sounds like the one to call dibs on.
What’s in the Fun Dip candy cane box?
There are six fruity candy canes and six packets of strawberry or watermelon powder. If you’re filling stockings, that works out to six cane-and-powder pairs. If you’re shopping for someone who dislikes mint, you can give them a proper striped Christmas candy cane without the peppermint.
All City Candy lists the six-count box for $5.75, before shipping. Look for the green Fun Dip box with a snowman on the front. The little red-and-green pouches pictured on it are how you can spot the dipping version.
Two more bags to look for in the holiday aisle
For the person who does want peppermint, Brach’s made red, white and green Candy Cane Ropes. They’re soft and chewy. Apparently the company that gave us candy corn perfume can still do something fairly traditional when it feels like it.
Then there’s the blue bag. NERDS Blizzard Punch Juicy Gummy Clusters have a strawberry gummy center under those crunchy blue and white NERDS. So if you’re picking by flavor, that wintry-looking bag is the strawberry one. Ferrara has the details on all three holiday candies.
