Instacart Plans to Hire 300,000 More Workers

With the rate that the coronavirus is spreading, more and more people are opting for grocery delivery.

Instacart plans to hire about 300,000 full-service shoppers so they can keep up with the demand for fulfilling orders.

Many people are out of work right now, but you may be able to get yourself a temporary job with Instacart.

When you work for Instacart you are an independent contractor. They need these new workers for about the next 3 months due to the pandemic.

With the increase of orders, Instacart has allowed for the option of leaving orders at the customer’s door, so that there is no contact. Even if you have a company deliver your groceries, be sure to take the proper steps to keep yourself safe.

Instacart did say that it will provide paid sick leave to workers that are diagnosed with the coronavirus and those placed under quarantine by public health authorities.

So, if you find yourself without employment right now, and NEED to work, you might want to check in to working with Instacart for now.
